Lawrence Park, Ampthill 24-27 June 2010

We were all welcomed to the site at Lawrence Park, Ampthill by the host DA (Beds DA) and their stewards and what a glorious weekend we had with the weather being extremely kind to us.
We had the pleasure of over 50 units at this meet which was more than double the number from last year and my thanks go to all who attended.
Beds DA organised some fun games for us all on Saturday which include a Ready Steady BBQ, Caravan Manoeuvring (with a difference!) and inter DA sports/fun games along with a “Chinese Auction” on Friday evening.
On Saturday evening the entertainment was provided by an international vocal due called EXIT at which many of the campers joined in by dancing and singing along.
During the weekend we had entrants taken for the Photo Competition and a Tombola.
On Sunday morning we had a table top sale followed by coffee morning after which there was prize giving and the drawing of the raffle.
My special thanks must go to all the members of Beds DA (and others) who worked so hard to ensure we all had an enjoyable weekend.
Please remember that Aylesbury Vale DA will be hosting the event in 2011 over the weekend of 24th-26th June so please come along and support them and the Region.
