The CCY is designed for members who are 12-17 years of age but this is extended to your 21^st birthday if you pass the Youth test before your 18^th birthday

 

The aim of the CCY is to provide positive camping opportunities, experiences and practical knowledge to young people in a structured, safe and fun environment.

 

 

CAMPING CLUB YOUTH

 

Welcome to the Youth Section of The Camping and Caravanning Club (CCY)

 

Although you still have to complete a membership form there is no cost to join this exciting section of the Camping and Caravanning Club

 

Your membership card will identify your local District Association [DA] and who could well have a Youth Leader which will enable you to camp within their Youth area during a DA meet—away from the parents!

 

We are the Regional Youth Liaison Officers (RYLO) and our role is to maintain communication between Club Headquarters and the various DA Youth Leaders and to co-ordinate youth activities within the Chiltern Region.

Normally, your DA Youth Leader will host youth meets during the year, with training and various activities laid on, but there are extra meets that you can attend:

 

In May, we held the Chiltern Regional Youth Rally which this year was held at the Hertford Club site over the weekend of 8^th – 10^th May.

 

In July we went to the National Youth Rally, which was hosted by NW Region at a Rugby club just outside Rochdale.

 

 

The FICC International Youth Rally is held over the Easter weekend, in one of the FICC countries. You must be over 14 and have passed the Youth test to attend, but to wet your appetite; it is to be held in Rome next year!
