AGM 2011

Just over thirty members attended the Regional AGM at Tring School, Tring over the weekend of 13th-15th May 2011 along with the Club’s Vice Chairman, Mr Albert Walker.

 

After a moments silence in memory of the late Tom Turner, Vice President of the Region, all the usual reports were tabled and approved.

 

Steve Chandler, Sally Chandler, Neil Paxton and Eileen Paxton who all retired by rotation and Steve Chandler (who has already been appointed Treasurer) put themselves forward for re-election together with three new candidates. Following the election we welcomed back on to the Council Neil Paxton, Sally Chandler and Eileen Paxton and the three newly elected members, Martin Paxton, Christine Emmings and Liz Masters.

 

During the open forum many questions were asked of the Club’s Vice Chairman and everyone was reminded to register if they wanted to vote at this years National Council elections.

 

On Saturday evening we had a fun quiz organised by our hosts—Bucks, Herts and Middlesex DA—which was very well received by the participants.

 

The weather for the weekend was kind although a little windy and it was a shame there wasn't few more out camping.

 

On Sunday we had the usual coffee morning with most departing by lunchtime.

 

A very enjoyable weekend was had by all who attended and our thanks again go to Bucks, Herts and Middx DA for organising it on our behalf.
